Job Description:
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, he or she will:
- Be responsible for performing food sample testing and follow laboratory protocol in checking samples for tasting in a timely manner
- Support sampling activities as required by the sampling plan
- To perform daily quality checking and support operations and participate and practice good laboratory safety
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of laboratory premises, equipment and glassware in accordance to Standard Operating Procedure
- Organize, calibration and performance check on equipment and ensure all laboratory documentation is maintained, recorded and reported accurately
- To participate in the quality improvement plans on cost reduction and process improvement
- Perform other assigned duties as required
Requirements:
- Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent discipline
- Minimum 1 to 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of food microbiology, GMP and HACCP will be an added advantage
- Experience in statistical measurement tool and methodology will be an added advantage
- Able to work independently and in a fast-paced laboratory environment, meet tight deadlines and multi-task
- Excellent team work spirit with a meticulous and methodical approach
- Able to maintain high standard of housekeeping, good GMP and safety practices
